Packing houses are using Dosatron chemical injectors to apply antimicrobial chemistries for sanitizing produce.

Across the United States and Canada, including Ontario and Quebec, fresh vegetable packing houses are using Dosatron chemical injectors to blend post-harvest sanitation products. Once blended, they are water sprayed onto the produce moving on the conveyor belt.

Some of the benefits of using antimicrobial chemistries for sanitation and disinfection include longer shelf-life, using less water, and reducing chemical costs. To continue that cost-savings, Dosatrons are water-powered, so no electricity is needed. They use the power of the water already being employed in the disinfection process, providing a consistent chemical mixture.
