Installed directly in the water supply line, the Dosatron operates without electricity, using the flow of water as the power source. The water activates the Dosatron, which pulls up the required percentage of concentrate and injects it into the outgoing water line.
What’s Happening Inside the Dosatron?
As the water enters the Dosatron, it triggers the hydraulic motor, which begins to move up and down inside the body. On the upstroke, the concentrate is drawn up through the suction hose. On the downstroke, the chemical mixture is displaced into the mixing chamber. Here it mixes with the water flowing through the Dosatron. The water-and-chemical mixture is then discharged into the outgoing water line.
Using volumetric proportioning, Dosatrons ensure that the chemical mixture remains the same, regardless of variations in pressure and flow.
Setting the Ratio
It’s easy to adjust the ratio or percentage using the external, adjustable injection stem. Turn the stem to the desired scale, then twist the injection stem up or down to your desired setting.
